These Paintings are Revised and, Happily, I am Renewed.

Okay, so here they are “Cry Me a Beautiful River” I and II are now revised and renewed beyond recognition. I am not sure what to call them yet but I am pretty content with the new revised pieces. Recently, while painting I feel like I kind of lost “my” way. I look at other people’s work a lot and when I really love something I think I should be painting like that. Or, I try some new things that sound good to me at the time and when I look back on the work done in these moments I feel like I jumped ahead of myself or wasn’t true to myself. And, the work is never as strong as it is when I do what I do. I use to care that I paint flowers but now I know that is what I do and if I try to change it will never work.
